If you are pertaining to a Samsung galaxy phone model, you can download an alternative media player found in the Google play store it is very safe as it is moderated by Google. You can access this in the application icon found on your home screen.
Click play store and you will be presented with several applications featured / top 10's etc. To look for a media player tap on the search button located in the upper right corner ( the one looking like a magnifying glass) then the works video player or media player. You will be given several selections either free or paid.
