If you are referring to the Android app called Pocket that is able to store sensitive data then it is not called Pocket Safe. Pocket is an Android app that allows a user to safely store sensitive data like for example bank account details, password on your phone, and others. It is a handy tool capable of remembering all those pieces of information like contact lens prescriptions.

Pocket is nothing but security. When you use Pocket on your handset, it encrypts your data using AES-256, an industry standard encryption method. No one else except you will be able to access your data using a master password. As an added security, Pocket doesn’t store the master password locally on the Android device. The app stores it as a SHA-512 hash.

The app also allows you to automatically backup your data with your Dropbox account. Every communication it establishes with your Dropbox account is done over HTTPS. Aside from that, the data itself is encrypted so that in case your Dropbox account has been compromised, your data will be inaccessible without the master password. The latest version is Pocket 2.7 and it requires Android 1.6 Donut and higher.
