How do you transfer your website to a different platform?

I have a website written in HTML and PHP with Mysql backend. I need to move this website from WordPress to Joomla but I do not know how to go about this. What I want to know is what is best way to carry out this task without disrupting the codes? Can it be done?

How do you transfer your website to a different platform?

Yes, you can do so, but as for as I understand conversion has few limitations and that is what I have experienced.

Follow these steps and you can achieve the migration you wished for.

1. Get your Joomla version installed along with Jconverter installed inside the Joomla.

Jconverter link: https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/migration-a-conversion/data-import-a-export/jconverter/

2. Next major and challenging thing is about dealing with Database movement.

  2.1 Collect all the database details present in your WordPress wp-config.PHP and utilize the same in your WordPress database details present inside the Joomla site –> extensions –> Jconvertor–> Global Configuration.

 2.2 Once the data feeding is done, start your conversion. After successful conversion check for the data accuracy manually.



Another suggestion for database movement would be to first export your database, then import the same in your Joomla website hosting area and use JConverter.
