How can I make inventor reset (2010 version) having the default settings? I have configured it as I needed, but now again I need to back to default options. Where to do that?
You can reset Inventor 2010 under the Tools and then Application Options and then click Import. On Import, "Inventor_Default_Options.xml". For UI, try to right-click the Ribbon and then Ribbon Appearance and then Reset Ribbon.

I thought you kind of messed up with the software’s configuration that’s why you want to reset it back to its default settings. Normally, what others usually do when they want their software to go back to its original settings is to do a clean installation again. This means uninstalling the software then installing it back after it was removed. Sometimes this method is successful but there are times doing this technique gives negative result because the registry information that the program added on the system when it was first installed still remains even after completely removing it from the machine.
If you are not sure on trying this technique, you may try this one. Open Autodesk Inventor 2010 then go to Tools, Application Options, then hit on the Import button. After this, browse or look for the file "Inventor_Default_Options.xml" which should be located in this location: C:Program FilesAutodeskAutodesk Inventor [version]Preferences. Next is for the user interface, right click on the ribbon then select Ribbon Appearance followed by Reset Ribbon. This should fix your problem.
