To encrypt your USB flash disk,
You can follow step given here:

1. You need to reformat your USB flash disk if your system using FAT16 or FAT32, the format chosen when you do formatting must be NTFS

2. After formatting, we want to create a folder which is used as encrypted folder

3. The next step is, navigate to My Computer, access the formatted flash disk from here, create a new folder inside the USB flash disk,
(You can give any name to the folder as you wish).

4. After creation of folder, right click on the newly created folder and click properties. Under the new pop windows, choose the advanced button (right to the read only checkbox)

5. New windows will appear, on this window, we need to check the box (Encrypt contents to secure data box). After checking the box, press Ok to close the new window,
And press OK again to close the folder properties windows.

6. After all of the steps, your folder will turn green, and all of your data inside the folder is encrypted now.

Hope this will help.

USB may be the best item ever created currently for sharing and moving files between devices, also it is really easy to bring anywhere.

But for each benefit there is downside like one coin, because it is created in small size (and the weight is really light too!), you might easily forget where you place it and the worst case is it get stolen without you noticing it.

You can use TrueCrypt to encrypt your USB flash disk to counter all of the problem mentioned above, and best of all, you don’t need to bring out money from your pocket to use this software"

Hello,

Go to TrueCrypt;  choose enable to encrypt the entire partition or storage device such as USB flash drive. If there is no data that is stored on the encrypted partition, the volume can't be read.  You can simply uncrypt, correct the password/key file and correct the encryption keys and it becomes easy to encrypt in the USB flash drive from the TrueCrypt.

Make sure you create a removable drive with the preferable encryption option from the TrueCrypt volume. Simply create a password from the TrueCrypt volume and format it.
