I have a couple FLAC files that I'd like to convert into mp2 format. I use mp2 for audio broadcasting. I tried Winamp Pro but it gave an error of "Cannot find decoder". Would a patch fix this? How do I convert flac mp2 winamp pro? I've been on XP 32 bit.

Thanks.

Hello Dear,

I had this problem before and I did a research to find a solution. I found a software which solved my problem. You need to follow some steps to resolve this issue.

First of all you need to download this software from this website. After installation, you need to follow steps given below.

1. The first step after installation is to select the file you want to convert. Run the software and use the Explorer to browse for the file. Choose the file from the file list, then drag and drop it in the drop zone. You can also edit the audio tags of your file in the drop zone.

Audio Converter

2. Next, choose the “output settings” and choose a folder to save your converted file. If the output file already exists, you can choose to create a new file, overwrite, or skip the existing file.

Create new File Audio Converter

3. Finally, after selecting the output file and audio quality, all you need to do is click on “convert” and the file conversion will start.

There is also software which can convert FLAC files into mp2 formats. Check this out as an alternative.

Hope this will help you.

Unfortunately, Winamp is not designed to convert videos to another format. Though it is able to play several video formats, it doesn’t support video conversion. Winamp is designed mainly to play music and video playback is just a secondary feature which they added later in the development. If you have several FLAC files that you need to convert to MP2, you should try Format Factory.

It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. This free video converter is ad-supported meaning it may display ads in its interface when using it if your computer is connected to the internet. The installer or setup file is also bundled with several other unknown freeware so be mindful of the options you are clicking to avoid installing malicious programs.

Read first before clicking. “FLAC” stands for “Free Lossless Audio Codec”. It is an audio coding format or audio codec for lossless compression of digital audio. The FLAC file format is an open format with royalty-free licensing and a reference implementation which is free software. This format supports metadata tagging, fast seeking, and album cover art. You can also try ImTOO MPEG Encoder to convert FLAC files.
