Hello,

I have an iPhone 3G. Suddenly I have lost my all data in my iPhone. I don't know what the reason is and  I am worried. Kindly tell me how I  can recover back my data?

Dear nixway,

You can recover data on your iPhone but only, if you are sure that your iPhone iOS is confirmed to be upgraded to 3G. Because in older versions, you can't recover back your data. Now follow these step to get back your data.

  1. Stop uploading and downloading data in your iPhone to Windows, iOS or vice versa, because it can encrypt your backup files.
  2. Now go to the internet and get a good data recovery software, for iPhone like iCare Format Recovery and download it (My suggestion is that you use a paid software, because these applications have real power of recovery).
  3. Now confirm if  you have  50 MB free space, on your hard disk, on your iPhone. (Recommended 512 MB).
  4. Download software, run on your iPhone 3G. It will take a while to search all data on your memory. After a while it will recover back your data to your original place. Your data is back now.

It is possible, though it is a bit tricky. If you had made a data backup on your computer, then restore is simple. Just connect your iPhone to the PC and restore the data.

 
But if you don’t have any backup in your PC, then follow the below instructions:
 
1. Connect the iPhone to the PC, as you connect it while syncing.
2. Browse for files on your computer. Follow this path:
C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMEApplication DataApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup
3. Once there, you will see a file having the extension of .mdbackup. 
4. Select this file and restore it.

Thanks for giving me a good advice. If I use some freeware software, for recovery then what will happen? Or if I use any paid software in cracked version?

First thing is that, there is no good free software for iPhone recovery. If you find any freeware for iPhone recovery, then it's not guaranteed whether it will work or not! A manipulated software means, an application which has already lost it's original registry details and an application which has already lost it's registry details. How can that software recovery your data  back properly? A cracked application can even damage your iPhone. Now, it's up to you.
