I wonder if I can edit setup files using my computer. I would like to install Word, Excel, and PowerPoint only when I would like installing Microsoft Office. Can I do that? If so, can you tell me how? Thanks.

Setup files cannot be edited in that way. Instead you can customize your installation by changing the options in installation screen. While installing the software you can select advance install or custom install, then deselect the components which you do not wish to be installed. Every software which has a number of components provide you the option to select the components to be installed on your computer.

Hi,

In case of multiple services on the network, the agent install process can b configured to connect a specific server. This will eliminate the need to manually configure server setting on each desktop. You can have several setup files, but you can edit only one file at a time. I wonder how to edit setup file or other to change the install option for office 2003. I don,t need some component in office, and very time i have to disable when i installed.
