I am facing problem with my camera because not having its driver soft. How can I download the def 299 usb driver software free of cost? I use windows xp. I want to change it with windows 8. Please, tell me in detail about it. Will the same soft work for both windows?

The short answer would be – no, you won't be able to use the same drivers once after you update your OS to Windows 8. Since you're planning an upgrade, I would recommend you to upgrade your OS first, and then install all the drivers needed. Newer versions of Windows will most likely offer you to manage your missing drivers without you doing anything as soon as you plug in your device, but just in case you will need to search for the drivers manually, you can find them and download them for free at the following link: http://www.driverhive.com/driversearch.
