Help, windows registry files are missing

How do I update my computer system with missing system registry files? I recently uninstall a window media player redistributable and the system start complaining about missing system registry file when I tried to install new media player software. Why does the uninstall app remove the system reg file? I tried system restore, the problem is still persit.

Help, windows registry files are missing

Here are some suggestions that you may want to follow. This would try first finding your registry, folder and files and restore them one by one. First, click start. Second, select RUN. Third, sfc/scannow. If this did not work at the RUN command box. Go to All Programs, point the mouse over to Accessories folder, then, right click and select Run as Administrator.  Type sfc /scannow then, press Enter.
