Help with opening Dxf files on a mac

Hey everyone,

I tried opening existing dxf files generated by vectorworks or cinema4d and there was a "read error". But when opening a sample dxf file from "3dcafe.com" t opened without any problems at all. When creating dxf files on a mac is there something specific I am missing?

Sometimes you need to have a different application on Mac to open specific files. Cinema4d and Vectorworks are considered as edrawings. The most reliable edrawing viewer is "Free edrawings viewer".You can also use this to open DWG and DXF files. You can download it from here. An OS requirement chart is given below:-
