GPS keeps turning off after updating my phone

Hi there,

I have HTC one which I updated to 4.3 and since then, my GPS seems to turn itself off, every time I want to start an App requiring GPS, I have to go all the way to settings to turn the GPS on,I have not installed any battery conserving applications,  what could be the problem? How can I get GPS working all through?

Hi Beatricegvavra,

The problem with your HTC one since your last update could be that the GPS settings were wrongly updated or configured, you should therefore try factory resetting your phone and see if this changes. Optionally, you can try the free GPS Status app. The free app has some indicators for the satellites it can detect. However, if there are no satellites that are shown, then the problem might have a problem with its hardware. Check also if your HTC phone model has a setting option to reload all apps related to location under setting>Location. I hope this helps.
