Got an error while using HP Digital Sending Software

We were using HP Digital Sending Software (DSS) to distribute electronic documents via email. 

However, while doing my usual task of distribution via email, I got this error message (see below). 

I tried contacting our remote tech support guys but I couldn’t reach them so I searched for a forum. 

I chanced upon this forum and would like to ask if you can provide a solution to my problem. 

Please help ASAP.

The operation failed. Please verify your configuration and try again.  (LDAP error ServerDown occurred.)

Were there changes to the computer's settings before the problem started? Try doing system restore and go back to when it was working without a hitch. You can also try to uninstall and reinstall that HP Digital Sending Software on your machine and try using the latest version. That is if you have access to such features on the machine (I'm assuming you are just a regular user). Your user settings may have also changed which could be a cause of the problem. If the data is also stored on the network, it is likely that the network or the server is down. Try checking with your network or systems administrator regarding this.
