Hello, It involves a set of procedures and policies enables recovery and vital technology following the natural and human induced disaster.The IT and technology supports business functions,involves essential aspects of business functioning disruptive events.Therefore it is a subset of business continuity.The disaster has classified two categories.The first one is natural disasters like floods,earthquakes and hurricanes.The second one is man made disasters such as hazardous spills,bio terrorism and disaster IT bugs.Finally in these instance testing,planning and mitigation are invaluable.
