Getting Error during installation of Hallmark Card Studio 2011 Deluxe

Hi, I have been using Card Studio 2007 and got the 2011 version as a Christmas gift. When I tried to install it, an error message showed up: "Data11.Cab" is corrupt. I contacted online chat tech and they told me disc is corrupted and soon he will send me a new one. I got the new one and still got the same problem. Then I contacted Hallmark tech support by phone and they suggested me to upgrade my installer in Windows XP. Though he told me he will send me the link from Microsoft, but still he didn’t send me. Now after having a chat again with tech chat support I am really confused as they proposed me a new solution that I have to download the new program. So what is the correct way to solve it? After getting so many solutions and reading FAQ sections, I am thinking is it the problem with this new version!! Can anyone help me out? Thanks in Advance.

I’m not sure if this is an incompatibility problem between the application, Nova Hallmark Card Studio 2011 Deluxe and your operating system, Windows XP because this version of the application works perfectly well with the operating system.

Nova Hallmark Card Studio 2011 Deluxe can be installed on a machine that is running on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. You only need at least a Pentium 3 with 800 MHz to use this or a much faster processor.

Since you are installing the application from a disc, try copying all the disc’s contents on your hard drive and then launch the installation there. If you still receive an error that says data11.cab is corrupted, cancel the installation. If your Nova Hallmark Card Studio 2007 is still installed, try uninstalling it for the meantime and then check your computer for any possible errors.

Use a disk utility application to check the system. After the disk check, install Nova Hallmark Card Studio 2011 Deluxe again and see if it works now. Usually, when applications require Windows Installer to be installed first on the computer before proceeding on the installation, it will pop up a message informing you to do so. But here, you did not see anything.

But you can also try downloading Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable just to see if this will fix the problem. Download it at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483

Just download the right version for your operating system.

If after installing Windows Installer 4.5 the problem seems to have no solution, just install back Nova Hallmark Card Studio 2007.
