Getting the block Skype with norton internet security.

Hello, I am suffering from block skype with norton internet security version 19.7.1.5 from which I can’t access the internet to talk by skype. I have tried the disabling norton’s smart firewall. Then skype could get to the internet with own defaults settings. However, that could be dangerous to leave my pc without protection, that is why could anybody say which settings and where to change to make skype accessing to the internet with active Norton smart firewall?

Getting the block Skype with norton internet security.

 

Hello Dexter,

You need not to disable your Norton Smart firewall in this case. In general Norton Smart firewall produce rules automatically to allow Skype internet access. Since your Skype not able to access internet, so I would suggest to go through the below steps to make it happen.

1 Exit Skype

2 Go to "Norton settings"

3 Go to "Network"

4 Go to "Smart Firewall"

5 Click  "Program Control Configure [+] "

6 You will find Skype in the program list and click on it to make it highlight,

7 Click "Remove", "Apply" and "OK"

Now start your Skype application and it will start accessing internet as Norton Smart Firewall will recreate rules.
