GameGuard “Error Code 112”

My friends and I play online games and we almost have the same games on our computers. But the problem is, they started having an error related to GameGuard but with me, all games run perfectly good. They said they receive “Error Code 112” randomly on their computer. Just want to ask any information about this error.

GameGuard “Error Code 112”

Error code “112” is a rare error in GameGuard. You may receive this if something on your computer is preventing GameGuard from launching. If you have a security program running on your computer like a firewall or internet security, try to disable it temporarily to allow GameGuard to execute. If you only have an antivirus, disable it temporarily.

Right-click your antivirus or internet security on the system tray then select to disable it. Start the game again then see if it works. If this doesn’t work, update your antivirus then perform a full system scan to check your system for possible virus infection. You can also download Sophos Virus Removal Tool to scan your computer.

The tool works alongside any antivirus program you may have and helps remove hard to detect viruses. Once installed, start Sophos then wait for the virus signature database to get updated. When updating is complete, click to start scanning your computer. When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it then repeat the scan over and over until it no longer detects a virus.

If the problem continues, check if the game you are playing is compatible with your computer. Check the system requirements again then make sure your computer meets even the minimum requirements.
