Funambol a leading provider for mobile sync

There are various ways to Sync Android with Microsoft Outlook. Among those sync Funambol is a free option for you though it uses the cloud. It usually syncs Android calendars, contacts, and photos across phones, tablets, and computers. The best feature of it is it syncs with Microsoft Outlook on PC.

At first you need install Funambol in your Android phone. To do so search Funambol in Android Market, install it. Afterwards create an account. In the next step, install the Funambol Sync Client for Microsoft Outlook on your PC. Then you can synchronize your Android with MS Outlook easily. You may find some errors while doing such synchronization, as many users have reported about this.

Obviously Android users as well as Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Palm, iPod and iPhone users can synchronize can also Funambol apps.

Here is also another way of installing and configuring your Funambol SyncML with Microsoft Office Outlook.

This applies to SmarterMail 7.x Enterprise and Free editions.

• Depending on your device, download the correct version of Funambol Sync Client for Microsoft Office Outlook from OW2 The open source community for infrastructure software and then install the application.
• The Funambol Outlook Sync Client will open after the installation. To configure it, go to Tools and then Options.
• After that, enter the URL of the server in this format: http://ww1.domainame.com/sync/default.aspx.
• Enter your email address in the username field and your email password on the password field.
• Click the Sync icon to begin synchronizing and to choose which stuffs should be synchronized and also to schedule the sync interval. Items may include calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks.
• And lastly, click OK.

I am interested in Funambola because I am a business user and I have heard that Funambol’s commercial software, which means OneMediaHub, is good for business users. With its features, I can sync my rich media, files and PIM data mechanically across my devices and computers in a smart way.
