You can use PRTG Network Monitoring Software for the required job. It has been one of the best applications to monitor the traffic on your network transparently. It monitors your whole traffic on daily basis and alerts you before an emergency can oocur. It also generates reports using graphs and waveforms.

Another good option is BandwidthD, like PRTG it also monitors the traffic on daily basis but it uses html techniques for generating reports. Individual IP charts can be analyzed using this application.
