This is so frustrating. I could not seem to solve this problem. At first, my flash player was working with Firefox 3.6.9 but I had difficulty in scrolling so I upgraded to Firefox 7. Now, my flash player would not work. I already tried to re-install flash but to no avail. What should I do?

Hello Basil,

Try to enable flash player on your firefox browser. You might be using firefox adblock extension and you have upgraded your firefox browser, flash player will be automatically be disabled. Press CTRL-SHIFT-P and hit adblock options. And then you have to uncheck OBJ-Tabs.

You can also try the following:

  1. Open your computer
  2. Navigate c:windowssystem32
  3. Scroll down
  4. Open macromedia directory
  5. Open flash directory
  6. Right click flashutil9b
  7. Choose run as adminisrator
  8. Choose continue when UAC prompt appears
  9. Follow flash player installation wizard

Hi,

This is happened due to blocking you from using Flash Player. So you need to disable the Protected Mode to solve this issue. Please follow the instructions that I given below.

1.       Go to My Computer and then double click the drive which is windows folder located.

2.       Go to Windows System32 Macromed Flash

3.       In the Flash folder, there is mms.cfg file.

Open that file and enter the following code.

ProtectedMode = 0

4.       Save the file and check your problem again.

If the issue is solved please remove that code from mms.cfg file.
