That’s not iTunes you are installing. It’s an application called “Windows Intune”. Before installing Windows Intune or any other application, check that your computer meets the requirements. Check the program’s system requirements to verify that your computer is compatible. This can happen if you have a proxy. To fix the problem, try running the “netsh” and set proxy for WinHTTP.

Press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run dialog then type without quotes “cmd” then hit Enter. In the command prompt window, type the following command then hit Enter:

  • netsh winhttp set proxy [proxy]:[port]

Replace without quotes “[proxy]” with your proxy name and “[port]” with your proxy’s port number. One user was able to successfully install Windows Intune after running the command. For more information on WinHTTP, go to About WinHTTP. Windows Intune is a cloud-based service in the EMM or Enterprise Mobility Management space that helps enable your workforce to be productive while protecting your corporate data.

To get the latest Windows Intune, go to Microsoft Intune.
