I have been using AutoCAD 10 for a while. Today when I opened it I got an error message saying “a software problem has caused AutoCAD to close unexpectedly”. It was working fine until just now. I have windows 7 installed on my PC. Can someone give me the solution to the problem?

First you should try restarting your PC as these problems are common and can be a momentary glitch in the software. If this doesn’t work you should try the repair option in the add or remove programs function in windows. You should try to uninstall and reinstall the program only after trying the repair option. If the repair doesn’t work, the best solution would be download it again from the official website.

If you are using Autodesk AutoCAD 2010, make sure you haven’t changed your operating system and that your computer meets the requirements. Autodesk AutoCAD 2010 supports Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and Windows 7 (Home Premium, Ultimate, or Professional) both 32-bit and 64-bit.

It requires 3 GHz or faster Intel Pentium IV or equivalent processor with SSE2 support, 2 GB RAM, 1024 x 768 True Color screen resolution, and 1 GB hard drive space. If your computer is fully compatible, try updating your operating system with the latest Service Pack. For Microsoft Windows XP, download Windows XP Service Pack 3.

This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP. For Microsoft Windows Vista, download Windows Vista Service Pack 2. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows Vista. For Microsoft Windows 7, download Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7.

If that doesn’t work either, try reinstalling the application. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware 2.0.0. Follow the instructions to download and unpack the file. Once installed, run it then uninstall Autodesk AutoCAD 2010. Follow the instructions for a perfect application removal. Then once it is removed, run its installer to install it back.
