Hi there!

I will tell you about my Firefox problem.

I cannot find my Firefox master password option. Where did it go?

I use Firefox because it is very secure and fast for Windows compared to other browsers. I always set-up a master password from spy.

So, I need this option immediately.

Please tell me how can I do it?

You have to recover your master password. You can turn on “master password” option If you want to enhance the protection to your Firefox browser. This will make your “login” information more secure especially if your computer is shared with other users. Your password in Firefox can’t be detected by other users. Now, if you forget your master password, then you can easily reset it.

To start this process click the follow link:

chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul

If your password is reset, then from data personal certificates; private key and all your stored web and email password will be removed.

You have not mentioned the version of your Firefox. By the way, the Firefox master password is always located in the Option menu in any version.

For the latest version of Firefox, you can access the Option menu by clicking the Firefox menu in the topmost left corner of the window. Then move your mouse pointer at the Options, then click Options. There you are, Options dialogue box pops-up in your screen. Click the security icon for the master password option.

If still you can’t find the Firefox menu, you can simply press ALT + T, O to open the Options dialog box. T stands for Tools and O stands for Options.

You should only get that error when you set a master password in the “Passwords” section in the settings of Mozilla Firefox. This master password protects all your saved passwords from unauthorized access. This ensures that you are the only one able to access all the passwords saved on the browser.

When a master password is set, every time you click on the “Saved Passwords” button, you will be prompted to enter the master password. You will only be able to view all the saved passwords after entering the correct password. If you don’t know the password, you will not be able to access the saved passwords.

If you try to disable the master password by unchecking “Use a master password,” you will also need to enter the password to disable it. If you did not set the password, ask the person who set the password for the password or ask him to disable it. By default, this option is disabled.
