I’m using a Canon IP 2772 printer. When trying to print any PDF file, the printer is not responding. When I open the PDF file that I am about to print, it will automatically closed and return to desktop. I’m running it on my windows XP SP2. What should I do now?

Hello.

Make sure that your printer is connected to your system.

There might be some loose connection check whether the power cable and the printer connections are good.

Also, check for the printer software, whether it is working or it might have been crashed.

Contact your printer technical support for further information.

Thank you.

Hi,

I suspect the problem is your printer setup .Is set for wrong port in the properties section of the printer setup, a "printer to file " instead choosing the port that is standard for your printer.

Now we look into the problem, as for your port, it seems the printer port setting installed to set to print to file and by choosing this, instead of printing the file using your printer to paper, it will print your data to the file on your hard disk.
You need to scroll down and find your printer port (Finding out which port is your printer connected, can be USB or LPT1 or others).

After finding it, you need to uninstall and reinstall your driver for the printer. Download “adobe reader” file and install it, after installation, you can read pdf files later using the adobe reader.

Now when you try to open a pdf file and choose print, it will print correctly. Good luck
