Explain about the process for converting Hyper-V to VMware and attach a snapshot of the steps to make the conversion understandable.
The steps to convert Hyper-V to VMware are as follows:
• Install the application of converting Hyper-V to VMware.
• Launch the application (i.e., DiskGenius)
• Open the application and load the file which you want to convert.
To select the file, click on the disk and choose open Virtual Disk File.
• Open Virtual Disk converting wizards
Again click on the disk and choose Convert Virtual Disk File option.
Now, the new window opens up. Choose the source and destination in the file.
• Select source disk to be converted and select VHD you want to convert, then click on OK.
• Select virtual disk from the drop-down menu.
• Set the destination location where you want to store the converted file.
• Click on convert then the application will start converting the file.
We can use any other applications like VMware vCenter Converter and convert the file.
