HI, I’m using Windows 7 system suddenly getting an error message at start up Hard disk error. What is a Hard Disk error, how to resolve it? Thanks in advance.

Hi, this error appears when there are issues related to physical hard disk or data transfer from hard disk or virus damage, System files damage, directly turn off power, changing in system registry settings, installing improper plugins and applications, etc. So before proceeding the backup, your HDD make sure all connection to your HDD is tight then perform HDD diagnostic test to see its condition. Steps to run diagnostic test

  1. Restart your PC then press ESC immediately on startup to get Startup menu
  2. Find out System diagnostics option in the list (Generally F2)
  3. Advanced System Diagnostics screen appears then click on Hard Disk Test
  4. Start Hard Disk Test
  5. Progress screen appears waiting until it completed and shown results.
  6. If the result is displayed any error code or as like XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXXX then contact your system support.
