Hello, whenever I try to open Microsoft Excel, I am getting a startup error. I cannot open any of my previous files. I have been using excel everyday but this is the first time that it crashes.  It gave me errors like FILE NOT FOUND, EXCEL REFUSING TO LOAD, FILES DO NOT OPEN, COMPILE ERROR and GPF ERRORS. This is my first time so I do not know how to resolve these errors. I think maybe my Excel needs to be updated? Please advice.

Dear Angela saizon

There are several reasons why Microsoft Excel may encounter problems while starting. You may have a corrupted shortcut to your Excel program. Try to open the Excel.exe file and see if the problem still exists. You will find the excel.exe file in c:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12. Also, you may have a problem in a file in the excel startup folder. Try to open the Excel.exe file in safe mode by right clicking the file and click open. Add the option /s in the end of the path and press Ok. If Excel is still having a problem this might mean that it may have a conflict with another program. Try to start windows in safe mode and try the previous step. If the problem still exists, uninstall the Microsoft Office program and install again.

Hop this may help you

Best of luck
