Errors when switching to GP from Report Writer

Recently, I performed an installation of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 in my Windows 7 laptop.

I installed the most appropriate version that I needed.

But I have been getting an error when switching back to GP and Report Writer.

Microsoft Dynamics GP

Unhandled script exception:

Illegal address for field “[Not Found]” in script “Unregister_Triggers”.

Script terminated.

When I clicked on the OK button, the error below appeared.

Microsoft Dynamics GP

Unhandled script exception:

Object has no reference.

EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_BAD_PARAM

SCRIPT_CMD_DEREF_TABLE

I closed the Report Writer and tried to start GP from the shortcut in my desktop.

However, that didn’t resolve the issue. How can I fix this?

Does anyone here who encounters the same issue?

Help needed please!

I think you installed the client version of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 since you installed it in a laptop. I’m not sure if you have a compatibility problem. But just to make sure, you may need to check your computer first for any possible errors.

Use a disk utility application to check the system.

If you don’t have one installed, you may use Windows disk check tool.

  1. Right-click drive C then select Properties.
  2. Click Tools tab.
  3. Click Check Now.
  4. Check Automatically fix file system errors then hit Start.

For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, PC Tools Performance Toolkit, or Norton SystemWorks instead of using Windows disk check.

If that didn’t solve the problem, try uninstalling then reinstalling the application. It will help restore the configuration of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 back to default. If this step didn’t help too, try downloading the PDF file of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 system requirements at . Read and check the details carefully.

Dear Daniel hart

According to the error message you have entered, this is a known bug and is scheduled to be fixed. Just try not to click to your last error message " Unhandled script exception: Object has no reference." to save your desktop shortcuts. Try to exit out the Modifier without returning to GP.

This error is an issue related to Extender and may happen when you return from Modifier. To workaround this problem, exit your Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 and try to log back again into the system, you should now have no problems or error messages.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck
