Errors when running Lotus Notes R8.0

Hi experts,

After getting depressed with a few of the erratic actions in the R8.0 user ( or should I say beta 4), I made a decision to do a complete reinstall (even followed a few ideas in the R 8 forum on eliminating (default) printer etc.)

Then I uninstalled swiftfile, removed directories, Lotus Notes client, all trace of notes I could get in the registry as well as reinstalled it.

Bit still I get this error message.

 

Unable to create view: An unexpected exception was thrown.

 

Need a solution.

Errors when running Lotus Notes R8.0

I’m not sure if your problem with Lotus Notes client 8.0 is related to incompatibility problem but since you did not include any information about your computer’s system specifications or the version of the operating system you are using, we can probably say that it is somewhat related to program compatibility issue. You can install Lotus Notes client 8.0 on a computer that is running on Windows XP Professional, Windows XP for Tablet PC, Windows Vista Enterprise / Ultimate / Business, Windows Vista for Tablet PC, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 XGL (SLED), and RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 (RHEL) platforms. If your computer is running any of these operating systems, then you will not have any problems. But if you are running a different operating system like Mac OS X, this is the reason why the application doesn’t work. You need to use any of the operating systems mentioned above for the application to work.

Try also checking your computer for any possible errors.
