Hi Experts,

I was configuring my Location Awareness settings in the Norton Firewall on my Mac when I got this error message (see screenshot below).

I tried restarting my computer as suggested by the message, but I still encountered the same error message.

I searched the Norton forum but didn’t get any solutions.

So I turned to this forum hoping I can get some answers.

Please help.

Thanks.

An error occurred (Lazy fetch attempted on an unknown value) trying to read or write the settings.

Read the error message carefuly and find considerable time to overcome on the matter. You shouldn't configure your computer by location awareness setting in the Norton firewall that is disturbing the setting. Then click on OK and restart your computer and it will auto configure your Norton firewall itself. You can see your configuration update.Norton forum cannot give you solution to safe you from the unauthorize problem.Sorry for learning this.Well please contact again with the Norton forum. They must have their reply for you.Or you can change your software because of damn.Or reinstall your software.

Hello FranG,

That could be an error with the setup you are using, maybe it is missing some important files that are needed for the proper functionality of the antivirus application. You could try restarting the computer one more time and see how it behaves, but if it does not get fine then I will suggest that you download another Norton setup from the internet and probably from a different source and try installing it and see how everything  goes.

If Norton completely refuses then you could try alternative antiviruses like kaspersky and AVG and see if they will work well on your system.
