Hello!

I'm having this problem that after the lengthy but effective duplicate, I continuously get the following error when trying to duplicate a 700 Mb computer file at present. It doesn't save from which place or to which cloudified directory I attempt to do it, but I can't appear to obtain the computer file ripped from a regional directory to a cloudified directory. The new edition has not settled this issue also. Can I request you to check this screenshot and provide me a kind support.

Dear Patrick,

This error are commonly appearing on copyright protected products but you can still copy this by using Xcopy software or Teracopy software this will copy your file fast with no error prompts or the other way is copying your files in windows safe mode.

Windows Safe Mode.

Error in trying to duplicate computer file

Hi Pattrick,

First and foremost, please search for your computer for a DLL file named Dpcdll. It might be missing or it is there but is corrupt. Copy this file from a freshly installed computer and replace it with the one you have. Then try to copy and see if the error still occurs.

If it does, then try the following:

  • Disconnect your computer from the network.
  • Restart your computer in safe mode with command prompt by pressing F8 on startup.
  • Remove the WinTools third-party software from Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel if it has been installed.
  • Run the program regedit by clicking on start, then type regedit and click OK.
  • Delete the registry key that has a WinTools value.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
  • If the following registry subkeys exists, delete them:

    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183}
    2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft WindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBrowserHelperObjects {87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183}
  • Exit Registry Editor and then restart your computer.
  • Delete the following files from the path C:Program FilesCommon filesWinTools:

    1. WToolsA.exe
    2. WSup.exe
    3. WToolsS.exe
    4. WToolsB.dll
  • Clean up the hosts file that is located in the C:WindowsSystem32DriversEtcHosts path.
  • Delete all the files that have W Tools or Wsup in the name. C:Windowsprefetch folder is a hidden folder therefore to access the folder, type %Windir%prefetch in the Address box, and then press ENTER.
  • After all the steps above, restart the computer in normal mode and try to copy the file now.

I hope you work around well.
