Error in Red Alert 2 on Win 7 menu

Hello Dear Friends,

I am using Windows 7 and has installed a game named "Red Alert 2" in my system. While running Red Alert 2 on Win 7 menu it shows a black screen and is unable to view game menu. Please advice about how to recover this situation. So that it plays the video game.

Error in Red Alert 2 on Win 7 menu

You will need to find the Red Alert program in the programs folder on your computer. It should be in the following location: C:programfilesWestwoodRedalert2. After that you should look for redalert2.exe, and then right click and choose properties. Go to the compatibility tab and then set the program to run as admin and Win XP SP2. You can also try setting it to Win98.

Error in Red Alert 2 on Win 7 menu

Hi Anthony. Try to check your DirectX version by doing the following: First go to windows and go to run then type "dxdiag".   After doing so you can see the bottom part. If you have a direct and what version already installed on your computer just simply install the latest version of DirectX. Before doing that, try to right click the icon then go to properties. Under the compatibility tab check the "Run this program" box, and then under it try to change the compatibility mode in windows XP. Click apply then try it. I hope this helps.
