An error occurs when opening Illustrator CS6

Hello,

Recently, I just got Adobe illustrator CS6 on my Windows 7 OS 64-bit but when I attempted to open it an error message displayed during the loading of this software. I tried to search solution from the internet but could not find anything. Please assist me to resolve this annoying error.

An error occurs when opening Illustrator CS6

The files under you Preferences directory is corrupted.

Delete all contents in this directory :

C:UsersMaxAppDataroamingAdobeAdobe Illustrator CS5 Settings

Then try to look for the plist files then try to trash by using the uninstaller. Clear all caches directly hooked up with Illustrator which can usually be found under Application support > Cache.

After the full un-installation, search all files related to Illustrator using Windows Search.

Any found files should be deleted before reinstalling.
