Help needed to use SONY (DSC-W80) camera utility tools. While installing the picture utility tools for my SONY camera DSC-W80, I found an error which is like this: “Error Number: 0x80040702 Description: Failed to Load DLL: ISFoundation”.

I am really doubtful about it. Again, I used another tools which was already installed to my PC of my another SONY camera which is DSC-W90, but also unable to use that tool for W80 as the pictures were not that clear enough.

Thanks in advance for your help. I need a solution for that kind of error. If anyone can help me solve with this problem, I will be very much glad.

If the application for your Sony camera is already installed and you just encountered the error after you try to launch it, try uninstalling it and then reinstall it back to restore the configurations that might have got corrupted. Your application failed to load a particular dll file that is needed for the initialization.

If you encountered this error during the installation, try aborting the installation and then restart your computer. Your system might have got an accidental error or a glitch in the system that is only temporary and nothing serious.

If after restarting the computer you still get that error during installation, try checking your camera’s manual or any documentation about the system requirements of your camera’s application.
