Hello TechyV,

I am working on JExcel. During this time I saw certain methods are returning with an error message replying with error code 0x800401F0. I am not acquainted with this problem but tried some solution on the help bar which gave me no success. Please try this and let me know how to solve.

Hi Jose,

                This is caused by Windows Installer having problems with connecting to the installation server. You can try to unregister and re-register Windows Installer. Here is a step to do that:

  1. On Start Search look for Run or press Windows button + R.
  2. On the run box type in “msiexec /unreg” and then Enter.
  3. Bring up the Run box again, and then type in “MSIEXEC /regserver” and then Enter.

OR check for Windows update to downloaded bug fixes for Windows components.
