Error message for installing software: “this installation package could not be opened.”

Hi, this error is applicable to Windows 7 only. It is mainly getting error message while installing a software.

When I tried to install Hallmark Card Studio which was bought from PC world, a continuous error message was appearing: THIS INSTALLATION PACKAGE COULD NOT BE OPENED.CONTACT THE VENDOR TO VERIFY THAT THIS IS A VALID WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE. Help needed immediately.

Error message for installing software: “this installation package could not be opened.”

If you downloaded the installer of Hallmark Card Studio from PC World, verify from the site if the version of the application you downloaded is 32-bit or 64-bit. This version should match with your Windows 7. If the downloaded Hallmark Card Studio is a 32-bit version, your Windows 7 should also be the 32-bit version or if the downloaded Hallmark Card Studio is 64-bit, your Windows 7 should also be in 64-bit. Check both the application and your operating system for their specific versions.

If the version of the application does not match with your operating system, it will really not work and you will not be able to install it. I’m sure your installer is really working because it came from PC World and this web site will not offer a defective installer.
