Error message [Installation Error: ‘Error 1911’]

Avid Knowledge Base I was trying to install AVID through its Studio Installer and saw an error message [Installation Error: 'Error 1911'] Here is the screen shot of this error.

 

Avid Studio Installer Information

Error 1911.Could not register type library for file

C:WindowsSystem32msxml4.dll. Contact your support personnel.

It is requested to please share your knowledge about the handling of this error message as soon as possible; I will be very thanking full to you.

Error message [Installation Error: ‘Error 1911’]

Hi Michael,

The error you have encountered is due to some issue with your security update. 

Microsoft has provided a Security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0. 

You can go around with it by following the recommendations given by Microsoft.

Error message [Installation Error: ‘Error 1911’]

Hello Michael,

Firstly, please make sure your operating system and service pack support installing this software.

There might be some additional software required to install before you install this.

Please read the system requirements section properly.

Make sure your software package is complete and no files are corrupt or missing from it.

Try to obtain a fresh copy of the software and install it again.

Restart your system and try again.

From your error message it seems that some files are missing or corrupted.
