Error loading tpvmmon.dll, the specified module could not be found

Hi there,

I have been trying to install VMware on Microsoft Vista .The client used here is a 32-bit Enterprise edition of Vista.While installing Vmware 6.0RC2, I get a weird error which I have not been able to interpret.The error is listed below

"RunnDLL

Error loading tpvmmon.dll

the specified module could not be found

OK" 

Any idea as to what is this related to?

Error loading tpvmmon.dll, the specified module could not be found

Hello Jody,

The file belongs to a trojan that is set to run at Startup, but it seems like the missing and that  is why you are getting the error. To resolve the issue, you will need to scan with your antivirus making sure that it has updated definitions, or you can scan using a good antimalware program like MalwareBytes' Antimalware.

After you are sure that your computer is clean, check for startup entries and see if they have remained and remove them as follows:

• You will need to start Orb > Search box> and then type: msconfig
• When it appears in the Results box,  you will need to right-click and then choose "Run as Administrator".
• In case you're prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation,  you will need to type the password, or click Continue.
