A Runtime Error happened when opening a database from excel.
The only solution I have tried is when I turn off AVG this would not happen, unfortunately I need AVG running.
Is there a way to do it without having the runtime error while AVG is up?

You can resolve that issue by performing the following actions:

First, you will need to look at the "Program:" text to verify what component of the program has terminated in an unusual way, and then contact the supplier of that program.

Otherwise,you will need to add the application to the firewall's or antivirus exception.

Error happened when opening a database
If the only issue here is the AVG application, try installing a different virus protection software line Microsoft Security Essentials.
Since you are using both Microsoft products, try this because this is free of charge.
But if you don't want to, try adding excel to the exception list of AVG.
