Error comes while deploy solutions in Napa apps and Windows style apps

Hello,

You get this error message “Error occurred in deployment step 'Install App for SharePoint': packagePath” whenever you deploy solutions in Napa apps and Windows style apps (Metro style apps).

You can only deploy them from these paths, but you cannot build them due to security reasons.

Error comes while deploy solutions in Napa apps and Windows style apps

Hi there,

 

This happens because while deploying one of the actions is trying to find a package that is named as your project. Since the package has a different name, the action can't be executed and the error appears. You can easily resolve this problem by making sure your project name and your package name are the same.

 

You can also try cleaning your project after renaming and deploy once it's cleaned.
