Error code 10 even after updating the Toshiba satellite USB driver

My Toshiba satellite laptop L505D-GS6000 does not read any USB device, it shows an error with a code 10. I have tried to download the Toshiba satellite USB driver and install it on my pc, but i still get the same error.

Any help please.

Error code 10 even after updating the Toshiba satellite USB driver

Error code 10 is connected to the Device Manager. There is a chance that you are getting a system error code due to corrupted or outdated drivers. So it's a generic error message that explains some unspecified driver or sometimes hardware issues. Try to restart your computer because this error is sometimes temporary.

Check your device manager if the driver for USB is not installed. Go to Toshiba website, choose a category, family and your laptop model and then click GO. Search for the USB driver and then click the link under the Title and then hit the download button. Install it after the download process and restart your computer for changes to take effect.

If besides USB devices your sound also doesn’t work, you are not having a driver issue – motherboard on your Toshiba Satellite laptop is malfunctioning (to be more precise – its Southbridge). There are numerous reports of owners of L505 series Toshiba Satellite laptops about same/similar issues. If your Toshiba laptop is in warranty period – contact Toshiba support. If not, you should anyway contact authorized Toshiba service.
