“Sid Meier’s Civilization II” is quite an old game. If you were able to play it successfully on 64-bit Windows 7 but you can’t open a particular stage, try running the game in compatibility mode. On your desktop, right-click the Civilization II shortcut and select “Properties”. In “Properties” window, go to “Compatibility” tab then under “Compatibility mode”, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for”.

From the dropdown list, select and try one of the following operating systems:

• Windows 95
• Windows 98
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP

Click “OK” then try playing the game again. See if it works. “Sid Meier’s Civilization II” supports Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
