Error in activating Microsoft Office Home and Business.

I entered the key I purchased from Microsoft.com

My version of the Office 2010 is a trial version and I was planning to activate it once I purchase the key.

Now that I have the key, I can't activate it. What may be the factors that caused this problem?

Can anyone help me find a solution to this problem?

Error in activating Microsoft Office Home and Business.

I have some idea about to troubleshoot this problem. The error code is an option which can help you to troubleshoot your this activation issue. There is a dialog box which contains notification for activation. This error code may be displayed in the dialog box at the lower-left portion.

There is also another option to get an error code, just run the “ospp.vbs/act” on the computer to attempt the activation. If again the activation fails then there error code is reported. Now with the appropriate error code for receiving the error message use “osspp.vbs/ddescr”.

If you want to take information about osspp.vbs script the protection of office software and the volume activation management tool will be available for helping your configuration and test the volume license editions.

Error in activating Microsoft Office Home and Business.

Hi,

Ms office 2010 trial does not contain the full modules of the programs that come with it, instance outlook and others. That is why uninstalling it may be a problem sometimes.  It is also a problem when it comes to activating the trial version due to the incomplete modules in it. So my suggestion here is that you upgrade the trial version to a complete version first and then try entering the product keys or you could opt to purchase the keys for the trial version and continue using it. Sometimes it may completely refuse to be removed but just the options that I have mentioned to you.
