I am having a random error on my Plex Media Server. It will sometimes crashed and then the error message below will appear:

The application Plex Media Server can't be opened.

I will need to restart my computer before I can run it again. I don't remember when and how it happened but the last thing I know I am doing is, I am choosing the Update Library . How can I be able to solve this issue?

If this happens after updating the library, try reinstalling Plex Media Server. Try it again once you are finished installing it. If you are not using the latest version, try upgrading to version 0.9.8.18.290-11b7fdd from Plex Media Server for Mac. This version supports Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and higher.

If you are using Microsoft Windows, it requires Windows XP Service Pack 3 and higher. Though it’s not stated in particular, I’m assuming that Plex Media Server fully supports Microsoft Windows 8 until 8.1. The Windows version of the installer is available in English and Korean language. For Linux users, it supports Ubuntu, Fedora, and CentOS. For Ubuntu, it requires Ubuntu 10.04 and higher.

For Fedora, you need RPM for Fedora 14 or higher. For CentOS, it needs RPM for CentOS 6 and later. The installer for Linux is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. For FreeBSD users, Plex Media Server supports FreeBSD 9.1.
