ERROR 1327 encountered after installing Acrobat 7

My PC got infected with a Trojan and other virus one day. Upon discovering that I decided to uninstall many of my programs and managed to retain the rest. Then I wanted to reinstall Adobe Reader/Acrobat 7, and in so doing I encountered an error (image below):

The error message: Error 1327.Invalid Drive E

The error message: Error 1327.Invalid Drive E"

The confusing thing is, I don’t have a drive E on my PC. It is not partitioned.

What is causing this error? Please tell me the best way to get rid of this.

Bundle of thanks.

Dear Daisy Paz,

According to the error message you received, please consider following this solution in order to get rid of this error, temporarily remap the invalid drive:

  • The invalid drive letter you got is "E:"
  • Click "Start -> All programs -> Accessories" right click the command prompt and choose "Run As Administrator"
  • Type:  subst E: "C:Windows", and press Enter
  • Reinstall the Adobe Acrobat reader

Another solution to this problem is to run the "Fix it" solution by Microsoft support webpage in this link:

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.
