I play online games and I happen to be searching for possible errors that I may encounter with my games then I noticed this error “120/124/141/142” with GameGuard. I haven’t actually encountered it yet but I’m just curious why this error code has different values.

Just want to know more information about this error so I would know what to do in case I bump into it one of these days.

Error code “120/124/141/142” in GameGuard means NProtect is either damaged or incomplete. You may encounter this error code on Microsoft Windows 10 when playing games, usually, online games that use GameGuard. I also play online games and I have one game that uses GameGuard, “Cabal Online”, but I haven’t encountered an error yet related to GameGuard.

I encountered an error before the first time I install it but the problem was not directly with GameGuard but with one of the game files that became corrupted after the installation. If you happen to encounter this error code, you can delete the GameGuard folder then try to re-patch it again. You can also try clicking the “Check Files” button in the game launcher.

This will initiate the client to scan the installation for missing files and then download them again.
