Error 0x80071017 on Microsoft SMS 2003

I am using Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 Distribute Software Updates Wizard in my computer that allows the updates to be authorized from SMS 2003 Service Pack 2 based device. But recently, whenever I try to download updates, this error message appears: “Error downloading file File Name.exe: Unknown error 0x80071017.” Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Error 0x80071017 on Microsoft SMS 2003

You will need a Microsoft hotfix to solve that problem, and you will get by performing Microsoft products updates on your computer. The hotfix for solving that issue is available from Microsoft, and therefore you will need to access the Microsoft site and download it from there. If it not available there yet, then you will need to wait for the next software update that will be containing the hotfix and run it to solve the problem. Or you can contact the Microsoft support and  tell them the issue you are experiencing.

But in case the hotfix  is available to be downloaded, then you will need to download it and install it to fix the problem.
