I hope someone would have come across this error message. I receive this error message, while trying to restore my backed up files.
I had my backup done a month back on to my DVD. This backup was done on my Windows Vista Ultimate machine. When I try to restore the same data, back on to the machine I get an RPC error message.
There was an unexpected error in the property page.
The transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server.

Please close the property page and try again.
I checked the event messages and found a few errors for the Remote Procedure call. Am I missing something?
