Error 0x80004005 has been returned when trying to write the file

Hi there,

When I tried to save a video file recorded with Camtasia this error appeared and I have lost the video. I tried to record another and the same error appeared. I cannot save any recordings that I make cause of this error. Any solution ? How can I fix this error ?

Though you have successfully installed Camtasia Studio, make sure you meet all the requirements and your operating system is supported. Depending on the version, the latest version doesn’t support Microsoft Windows XP so you need the one that still supports your operating system. Since you are in Windows XP, you need a slightly older version to work.

Download Camtasia Studio 8.2.1. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 as well as Windows Server. To make sure the one you are using supports your operating system, install this one. Once downloaded, uninstall your existing application then restart the computer. Install Camtasia Studio 8.2.1 and try recording again.

If in case you encountered a similar issue when saving, check the quality of the video you are saving. Adjust the settings until the recording can be saved.
