Efficiency of Scan*Safe Service in detecting virus

Is Scan*Safe Service more efficient than any other else? I plan to install an appliance, like a gateway product.  Is it more safe to use  Scan*Safe Service and spyware applications to detect virus in my computer? If a Scan*Safe Service is successfully installed in my computer, what happens when it detects a virus? What should I do if ever it detected a virus?

Efficiency of Scan*Safe Service in detecting virus

It is quite efficient with anything related to Web Security. And it is also quite on par with the mainstream antivirus products such as Norton, ESET, etc. If you are referring to the ScanSafe software that is the support Antivirus of Cisco, then yes it is quite safe to use and apply. When it detects a virus, depending on the level of the virus are the options you can get. If it is a sever malware, it has the option to delete the virus. For small time viruses, it has also the option to block it, delete it or keep the virus and store its information at their data bank. If it ever detects a virus, I recommend you delete it. But use your own judgment, if it is a system file; do not delete it unless you recognized it as virus without affecting the system file.
